Restring Mala Options
Select the type of restring you would like from the drop-down menu. We offer wired and hand-knotted services. The Before & After image featured is a hand-knotted mala.
We no longer accept Pearls and Rudraksha Seed, this decision is attributed to the incompatibility of the cords we use and the very tiny bead hole size.
Jewelry Wire Mala Restring
We use professional jewelry wire to string your mala, the best material on the market. It is capable of withstanding 40 pounds of pressure. It features a very soft drape (meaning it coils easily and fluidly) it is kink resistant and highly durable. The beads are strung with just the right amount of “give” for counting mantra.
Hand-Knotted Mala Restring
We will restring your mala with knots between each bead using a double-string cord of professional quality. The tassel chart displays cord and tassel color options.
Tassel Options, Pendants, Snake Knots
Our restring service includes new cotton or silk tassel of your choice, select from the color chart. The tassel length will be approximately 2 to 3 inches.
If your mala has a special pendant, snake knot, or something other than a tassel please select No Tassel from the options and provide any details in the Order Notes section at checkout.
Snake-knot is optional instead of a tassel, current color options are red or black. Please note this is a stationary snake-knot and is not adjustable.
Replace Broken or Missing Beads
We are happy to replace broken or missing beads if we have them in stock. Please contact us with the quantity, size, and type of beads you are missing to verify availability before purchasing the service.
Send Your Mala For Repair
Once you have purchased the service you will receive an e-mail (please allow up to 24 hours Monday through Friday) with any initial questions we may have and mailing instructions. Note: If we do not have an order for your repair the package will be returned to sender, please purchase the service before shipping.
Processing Time
The turnaround time for restring service is approximately 3 to 5 business days from the date we receive your package. We will ship your mala back to you via USPS with shipment tracking and notify you of the shipment.

- How long have you been making or repairing Malas? For 15 years and in many different types and styles.
- What if I want a different cord besides wire? There are other options available such as hemp, parachute, and stretchy. Get in touch with us to check availability.
- What if I have a wired mala and I want it knotted? No problem, select the hand-knotted option and choose a tassel color.
- I have a hand-knotted mala I would like to have strung on wire? Select the jewelry wire option, we will disassemble the knots and restring it onto wire.
- I would like to replace or add new gemstone or wood beads to my mala, is this possible? Yes, we would be happy to swap out some beads for other stones, contact us to inquire about quantity, bead size, and types available.
- I want to change the spacers style or design of the mala? Sure! If you have ideas just let us know in the Order Notes section or get in touch with your request.
