Symbolism

Guanyin or Quan Yin is revered due to her unconditional love, compassion, and mercy. She is generally regarded by many as the protector of women and children. Quan Yin is also seen as the champion of the unfortunate, the sick, the disabled, the poor, and those in trouble.

In the East, dragons are a symbol of power, strength, and good luck. Dragons traditionally symbolize potent and auspicious powers, particularly control over water, rainfall, hurricane, and floods.

The symbols engraved on the pendant translate: "To bring me protection, Guanyin Bodhisattva".
